My name is Mark Risley and I would like to introduce myself as well as our blog, Park View Pulse. I am the Park View expert for 8Z Real Estate. I am a great source of community information because I have lived in the neighborhood for the last five years. My family and I are always out walking our dog or enjoying the park. I have run on all of the surrounding trails and have really fallen in love with this community.

What originally drew me to the community was the great school district and over all family vibe. I also really enjoy how close we are to the Southlands shopping center and everything the Denver Metro Area has to offer.

As a member of the community, I am always looking at what is going on in the neighborhood. Not only do I make it a point to tour every home that comes on the market in Park View, I keep a close watch on the surrounding areas. I want to be the first to know if something is happening in another neighborhood that might affect mine. I don’t just know the story of my neighborhood, I am part of it.

Major factors make Park View homes valuable and desirable is location. Park View is one of the more reasonable priced neighborhoods in this area. While the homes in our neighborhood range in price from $250,000 – $325,000 the surrounding areas are $450,000 – $600,000. Another factor is the expansion of South East Aurora as a whole. South Aurora is expanding and is becoming the new “Highlands Ranch”. New businesses are starting to move in and more parks and amenities are developing.

Main annual activities include: 4th of July Parade, Movies in the Park, Party at the Park, Garage sales and Swim Team. Schools within the neighborhood boundary are: Timberline Elementary, Thunder Ridge Middle School and Eaglecrest High School. Shopping within our community: Southlands Mall. Park’s to visit: Park View Park and Tollgate Park.

I’ve launched Park View Pulse as a way to keep the current residents informed of what is happening in their community. This includes information to help current homeowners know what their home is worth, ways to make it more valuable, and to know what others in their neighborhood are doing. It’s also a forum for the community to have discussions about what’s happening around the neighborhood.

Keep up to date with Park View Pulse Facebook page or on the blog. If we haven’t already, I’ll look forward to meeting you. And for those of you who are new to the Park View Community, welcome!
